We head up into the mountain, and we see the tower! We go around a clearing to get close, and decide to head to the top of the tower to kill the guard. So I go, with those wondrous slippers, and Vorest changes into a giant spider to join me. Together, we kill the guard, and realize my rope isn't long enough to reach Vondal and Vandederp. So Vorest weaves a web rope for them to climb. Pretty handy!
Once the guys are up, we peek downstairs to see what waits there. Vondal and Vandederp decide to jump down and set everyone on fire. It worked spectacularly! Afterwards, we head further down, where Vondal became the target of the remaining orcs. I tried to fight down the stairs, but couldn't beat the guy fast enough. Vorest and Vandederp were left to shoot at the orcs beating on poor Vondal.
We managed to defeat them, and decided that the tower was an excellent place to rest that night.
