The plan is on! We will be leaving tomorrow. Due to costs, (and honestly, need) we will be selling Lilac here. We will be bringing our horses with us though.

One of the ship people says that they are doing well with unloading their cargo, and that they should be finished tomorrow . Then we could leave on the 15th! That is perfect, Vondal should be done his studies by then. We'll check back tomorrow to make sure that everything is still going well.

Back to the harbour! We have a bit more luck with the boats that are coming in. There are a couple who think they could be hired, but they need to see how the markets work for them before they'll know their schedule for sure. Hurray!

We head back to the harbour. We speak to a few ships, but they already have a shipment and wouldn't have room for us. Unfortunate, but we have a bit more time.

While Vondal is working on his book, we go down to the harbour and learn about boats. There are many different kinds, and some are slower, or faster, than others. We learn what they look like, though I can't seem to recall the name of them. At least we know what the boats look like so we can seek out the captains or who ever would approve our hiring them.

Today Vandederp announced that his sword was finish, nearly, and he would be able to bring it home tonight. He asked us to come, as it was an important even for him and it should be witnessed. So we go to Mitévra's to see it be finished and presented to him.
When we get there, Vandederp helps out as he can - he is much more familiar with the forge than he was when he started! But that makes sense.
Once they are done everything, I have no idea what they were doing, but it got done, Mitévra asked Vandederp to get ready to receive it. She called down a blessing from Purphoros, which was granted when he showed up and blessed the sword. It's the most amazing thing ever! It's almost like I can feel his power, and I can feel that he blessed the sword - if it was like this at Vorest's tree, I can understand why everyone was so content. This is amazing.
Then Mitévra handed it to Vandederp, to which he thanked her profusely, and placed it back in its scabbard. We celebrated a little, and cheered, then we went back to the inn, to confirm what was happening next - We are going to head to Sheirtalar, by boat, preferably. Vondal also wants to study the book of strength that was gotten. So the plan is to find a ship, that will leave after 5 days or so, while Vondal studies the book.

Vondal asked me to come with him. he has a couple orders to pick up, and while he could lift them, they are bulky and he would appreciate some help.

I go walking, watching the people. It is interesting to see them go about their business. I would go with Vondal, but I believe he thinks I bring him poor luck. Vorest has been making friends of the animals here, and most don't particularly like me, so I shall just let her be.

I wander about town. I think I have all the information that I currently seek. I have questions, but many of them, I feel like I could figure on my own, having the histories.

I go and speak with a cleric of Kelemvor. After the information that I have been given about how Asmodeus gets his powers, and how the initiation rites work, I am curious to know if my suspicions of us belonging to him - without even our knowledge - is accurate. And I think the clerics of the god of the dead would be a good start.
I speak to him about devils, where he confirms that devils are the tempters of mortals. They want to claim souls and aren't above dirty tricks to get them. Our souls will go to our gods when we die, unless the devil has claimed it - for either being evil, or for dealing with the devils.
If you are faithless, and don't follow a god, you are put in the wall of the dead. The cleric said that it would be likely I would go to the wall, since I don't follow a god, even though I am tiefling, which implies a contract with the devil at some point. Since I didn't make the contract, I am not responsible for it. I ask if there could be contracts without knowledge, and the cleric said he didn't think so, but that you could never truly know with a devil. I wonder if the initiation rites, and the severing of the "heavenly" ties are our contract, and if I have possibly negated it by healing it?
Would all of Im's monks be destined to Asmodeus then? Is that why they want to know about monk babies? To see if they have, unknowingly, dealt with the devil?

Today I went shopping with Vondal again. He said he had a lead on some things, but if he did, the shop keeps did not want to acknowledge him. Or maybe it was me. Either way, today was disappointing, as he had me come to help carry things, and he certainly did not need help!
Shieldmeet, 1376, Year of the Bent Blade
I decided to try to paint one of the scenes from the parade yesterday, in a slightly different style than I normally do, and with brighter colours.
Midsummer Holiday, 1376, Year of the Bent Blade
Today Vorest dragged all of us to the Midsummer Holiday Parade, even Vandederp got the day off! I think he was happy to not be working on his sword, and at the same time, itching to get back to it. Ah well, a day off to enjoy the sun and have some fun, can useful too!
Vorest was really excited to see the animals. I am going to paint one of them so she can see it, even though the riot of colours and such were truly a delight to see!
29th of Flamerule, 1376, Year of the Bent Blade
I spoke with the cleric of Oghma today. I asked a little of Asmodeus, to see if any of their known history included him. It did, but nothing new. Ah well, couldn't hurt to try.
I also spoke to him about how I suspected that I could not see the gods, like they were blocked from me. I explained why I thought this, speaking of when I did see Vorest speak to her gods messenger, and after we had done the quest that she had been given, how everybody in our party seemed like they were speaking to someone. But I have no idea who. And that they spoke of a feeling, and it was strange because all the animals came back even though you couldn't drag them even near there before hand. But it didn't feel any different to me.
I also spoke of how I felt this was wrong with my elders at my monastery, and how they said that they didn't believe that the gods could manifest or interact with people. Because even when people said they could see the divinity, they couldn't.
The cleric asks to re-see the memory from when we planted the tree and I think that Vorest's god came to her. I allow this, and he agrees that it does seem like there was something going on there. It's possible that he would like to see one of my companions view of that day. I tell him that would be possible, but it would need to be the next day.
I mention that if it could be healed, I would truly appreciate that. I don't like going around knowing that I am partially blind.
He thinks about this for a minute, and then asks if he can look around a little closer. Possibly, if he can find a reason for this missing part, he can help. Of course, I agree. I also tell him about the initiation that we undergo, and how I nearly went mad, believing that I had lost something.
He pokes around a little bit and then says that he thinks he found the blockage. He says he thinks he can do a spell to get rid of it. I agree, and he casts a spell over me. It feels like I am getting filled up again, that this missing bit isn't missing anymore. I'm not sure that it's ALL healed, but it is so much better!
I thank him, and wonder if there is a way that I can test whether I can see the gods. I suspect no, they come when they wish, not when someone wants to try something - especially if it's just viewing them.
I do go to a fairly isolated place and test out how my connection with the elements work. It feels a little different, but I can still call wind - I needed to concentrate a bit more than normal. I hope I don't lose touch with the elements!
I don't normally paint ideas or feelings, but I had to try.

Alright, I've passed by Oghma's again, and made arrangements to speak with a cleric tomorrow. No more procrastinating!
