17th of Mirtul, 1376, Year of the Bent Blade

 As we are preparing to go, we see a large dust cloud. Vorest looks and sees people with really big weapons. Vorest tells the giant elk to run off. The people reach us and ask us to move from their path. Vorest said "No." It was a hard fight, but we managed to beat them. While we sat around and healed, the giant elk returned - to boop our foreheads. We feel something, and realize that we've been given  a charm.

After our break, we return to finish exploring the caves. We find some super giant centipedes. In a different room, we find some generic stuff and we have an odd feeling that something will happen, right then, a weird bug person jumps out of the wall and attacks. We quickly realize that looking at it makes us lose control over our actions. It is hard to beat it without looking.

We continue and find another beast, a big skeletal snake. Even further we find some stalactite things. We decide to exit and abandon the doorway - the decision being made because there are only monsters and no treasure. I see what Vondal and Vandederp's priorities are!

16th of Mirtul, 1376, Year of the Bent Blade

 We continue on. We reach a bunch of boulders and gravel, where we need to lead the horses. We find another stone door! As Vondal approaches the door, the boulders start moving. We kill them.

The door that attracted Vondal was made by hill dwarves a long time ago. It is covered in Abbathor symbols. Vondal enters and we go explore. We find a room and there is a floating skull. Turns out it was in one of those blob guys. I found that out the hard way. We kill them. We continue and we find some fiery lizards and a bunch of dead animals. 

We continue looking, and find a room full of web and blue giant spiders. We defeat them, after Vondal tried to trap himself in the room with fire. We leave and make camp with the horses. While setting camp, we heard loud rustling noises and a pair of giant elk bounded over. They see us and run away. Vorest shouts after them and catches their attention. She offers them our protection for the night. She then continued to speak with them for a while.
