21st of Eleint, 1376, Year of the Bent Blade

We did find a boat last night! They have agreed to bring us straight there, without stopping in harbour towns inbetween, for just a little more. Hopefully that'll make up some of the time we used finding this ship!

We may have found a ship tonight - we need to come back in the morning to work out the details. Hopefully they'll be able to take us!

We search for another boat that will bring us the rest of the way to Sheirtalar. Not much luck, everybody has full loads, or they are headed the other way.

We pass by some small islands, and hear some beautiful music. We see some beautiful winged ladies. All I want to do is go to them - which I find odd. I shake my head, and all of a sudden I don't want to go, and I can see all the people reacting to - their singing? Even Vandederp is trying to get there, though thankfully Vondal and Vorest aren't.

Vondal sees that the steersman is trying to steer the boat into the winged ladies, so he runs up and fights for control of the boat, to steer away from the ladies. I figure if the ladies' song is what is drawing people in, maybe if their is a thunderstorm, or at least the sounds of one, it might drown them out. Luckily, once the booms and rumbles really get going, more people realizing what they are doing. As we see that people are snapping out, we see the ladies flying for us. One of the crew yells that the harpies are coming - I suppose that is what they are. We manage to kill two of them before they turn around and run. We also manage to wake up everybody else.

We arrive in Calimport. The Captain announces that she is done, she is retiring, she is never, ever stepping on another boat. I think she said she'd start a pub or something. We find an inn, the Sandy Sea Sprite, and talk about how we want to continue on. We consult some maps and eventually decide that a boat would still make the most sense - though I'm not sure Vondal is at all convinced.
