19th of Tarsakh, 1376, Year of the Bent Blade

Around noon today, we met a cobbler, Emma. She says that there have been Summerleafs living on Twinberry. We thank her, and head over. We manage to find the correct house, and an elderly lady replies that she is the granddaughter of Gerald - but they are done paying his debts! It is surprising - you don't expect scholarly people to have much in the way of debt. I suppose he bought too many books and his descendants didn't know their value.

We manage to return the book when she realizes that someone may want to buy it from her. Did her grandfather not teach the joy that knowledge can bring? A sad thought.

Anyways, we bring her to Stefan - who does still wish to buy the book, and is not happy to see us (we really must leave him to study!)

The old lady thanks us profusely. She lets us know her name, Enid Summerleaf. And asks us to keep her safe on her way home.

As we walk, all she speaks of is having so much money, she can't believe it. She can move and buy a new house. And luxuries. The guys try to keep her quiet - Vandederp politely, Vondal trying to shock her. It doesn't work, and before long, we are beset by a group of thieves. I suppose they are curteous - they try to convince us to abandon her, instead of fighting. We manage to convince 2 of them to leave, after 6 of them were killed.

We get her to a money lender who will guard her money, and then, the rest of the way to her home.

We go to the Jumping Giant for the night (and to see if we are welcome again). We are not kicked out, and are asked to tell tales. Hurray!
