29th of Mirtul, 1376, Year of the Bent Blade

We continue and we arrive at the monastery. I see many familiar faces, but I seek out my Elders.

I ask Elder Dal about why I was sent, and he answered that I needed to learn what I've learned on my own. He was also surprised by my news that Asmodeus was part "founding" father. If he didn't know that, was I truly sent out because they did not know?

I ask about my initiation. Elder Dal looks disappointed that I remember. He says it is not the first time that it's happened, this reaction to the initiation, there have been other tiefling monks. After the initition, I was ranting and raving about missing something. There were some stressful meetings, Edlers Dal, Maln and Masumi decided that they would need to block my memories, before I hurt someone or myself. It was hoped that I would learn something about the relationship between tieflings and ki.

Other tieflings did not have this reaction - but the ones with Asmodeus's characteristics did. He sounds concerned after I describe how I remember it felt. I wonder - did the other tieflings just go mad? Or do they not keep records of this?

We eat dinner in Edler Dal's chambers. He introduces Elders Maln and Masumi. I introduce Vorest, Vondal and Vandederp.

I talk about what I learned about tieflings, and just kinda muse, mostly to myself, as to why the founders were not tieflings, if the founder had been given power by Asmodeus. Elders Dal and Maln turn positively white as I talk. 

Elder Dal says there are few secrets that are kept well hidden, but one is a painting, with 5 warrior maidens, and 5 tieflings. The five daughters and sons.

I'm asked if things are normal, if I'm normal, if anything odd is happening. Vorest asks if not seeing the Gods is odd, and the Elders start ranting about how the Gods are fake. While discussing this, I sort of realize that whatever I'm missing MUST be why I can't see Vorest's God. I must find a cleric or two to speak with.

The Elders ask where we plan to go next, and I say that we must continue our path to aid Vorest and Vondal. And that we shall seek out Vorest's sister.

I ask if there is any other information I should know, and they ask if monk babies turn into tieflings. I suspect this is a rather personal question. Then they give our leave and Elder Maln gives me a hug. This is rather uncomfortable. As we leave, Vondal passes and whispers, "Maln is kinda suspicious." I agree.
