We continue on. Around midday, we see a column of people in white flowing gowns, and a half orc with a flower crown, right in the center. They are chanting, and clapping, and holding a sign with a symbol on it - I think it's a religious symbol, but I do not recognize it.
The leader asks us to join, and Vandederp starts clapping along and moves to join them. I must say, while it was politely done, that is not polite. We attack, because only bad things have happened from people who seek to control our minds. And it is weird - for a bit, I wanted to join them - or to even let them go! We do defeat them, and as we do, we notice a bunch of - Vorest called them pteranodons - looking at the dead bodies. Vorest hurries us along, and they swoop down to start feasting.
As we get further away, one of the snake people (we discovered this after the battle - I swear, they are everywhere and invasive enough I am surprised there are normal people here! Anyways,) - gets up and runs off. We are far, but not so far as to miss if I shoot at it, so I do. It goes down and one of those pteranodons go and get it.
