We travel and we reach a river. The river goes north and then turns along the cliff. As we have been told, we follow the river upriver. After a few hours, we hear whips and a lot of noise. It sounds like a large group. We leave the horses, and creep forward. There is a large group of yuanti, and they are leading a big group of slaves. Vorest points out that there is a tiger pacing the yuanti party. We plot a little and take spots. Unfortunately two get away and bring back reinforcements. Luckily, the tiger helped us fight, and was a bit stronger than I've seen of tigers. And one of the giant snakes in the group turned into an elf. I wonder if that was this sister Vorest has been talking about.
After the fight, Vorest heals everyone. Then the elf tells us to hurry and leave, because more would come. The elf is not happy about our helping. We follow, and the elf keeps eyeballing Vorest. An hour or so later, we reach what looks like a temporary camp. Then, she starts talking to Vorest as "Thornbush" and complains how she's been tailing. She introduces us to herself, Creeper Golden Oak, and the tiger, Hunter, Causing Sudden Scream, In The Night, Abruptly Silenced. Creeper asks what happened and Vorest explains that she remembers living on her own and taking care of herself.
She then continues to explain that she is trying to get to the heart of the yuanti slavers, not just get the hunting parties. Then she mentions that her mentor, Albert Venastrian, has also been caught.
He was taking plans of the city. We are also told that we will need to leave. But when we explain that we will still be fighting, she sighs and says she'll make use of us.
Selosah is about a day away and explains the aggression that we've seen. We also explain what we know. She thanks us and again apologizes to Thornbush, saying that she didn't think Vorest would leave Clementine and Dy'lan.
